We are Kedem

An organization where knowledge, care, and community converge

Our Story

Kedem was born out of urgent need — to help people find their way back to life

The idea for Kedem began taking shape even earlier. But on October 7th, reality reshaped its purpose. Just days later, Kedem opened its doors in Pardes Hana, driven by the need to respond to people whose lives had changed in an instant. It began with a small team supporting women affected by the war, and quickly expanded to reservists and combat soldiers, former hostages and their families, bereaved families, widows, the wounded and their families, and other populations carrying the impact of the war. As more people arrived, it became clear that trauma doesn't stay confined to the story of what happened. It can live on in the body and the nervous system, in sleep, relationships, work, and the ability to feel safe again within life. Kedem, as it exists today, was built from that encounter.

Trauma touches the whole person. So healing must see the whole person too.

At Kedem, we developed a neuro-integrative therapeutic framework that connects the body, mind, and nervous system, combining professional therapy, somatic work, group and community support, nature, creative expression, and advanced technologies. The person is at the center. The framework surrounds them. And no one walks this path alone.

From crisis response — to a national vision.

Kedem is working to develop an Israeli model for addressing national trauma, one that combines treatment and rehabilitation with knowledge development, innovation, and professional training. The vision is to expand what has been built at Kedem into a response that can reach thousands more people — and, in the next stage, to establish the National Healing Village. Because when a person returns to life, the impact reaches far beyond them — to their family, their community, and society as a whole.

Practices such as mindfulness and meditation help connect to the present moment, expand awareness, find meaning, and illuminate the light of the soul. This is complete healing—body, mind, and consciousness together

Body

At Kedem, we view the body as a gateway to renewal.

The body’s ability to achieve neural well-being, regulation, and balance forms the foundation for growth, transformation, and healing.

Through techniques such as SNF, cold exposure, breathing, and movement, we activate the vitality and sense of safety that reside within us
